Cultural Appropriation vs Appreciation in the Wedding Industry

Before you include it in your wedding day, ask yourself:

Is it something that people have been discriminated against or shamed for?
Does it hold sacred and ceremonial meaning?
Who would I be hurting?
Do I need it to have a joyful wedding day?

If you have uncertain feelings about your answers to these, there is a good chance you should probably leave it out of your wedding day. Better to be safe then accidentally offensive and inappropriate.

When in doubt, don’t do it!

Last year before Halloween George and I came across this incredible farm for pumpkin patching, corn mazein’ and, most importantly, apple cider donuts! We invited my parents along for the adventure. Our visit was on a weekday which meant the kids attractions, to Emmy’s dismay, were not open. That didn’t stop us from having fun!

We were feeling a little homesick due to Cape Cod fall weather and foliage being no where near comparable to that of New Hampshire's. To help cure our New Hampshire blues we found one of the only pumpkin patches on Cape.
