It all started in their hometown grocery store.
Nicole met Jason on his first day of work at their local grocery store. She was his trainer! They eventually found themselves on a first date together. After a night out at a restaurant, they headed to Funspot for some bowling where Nicole crushed his score. That's right!
Over time they experienced the test that long distance will bring. Nicole and Jason can attest this only brought them closer together.
“I knew if we could make it through that, we could make it through anything”
The proposal
Jason and Nicole took a trip together to Disney! On one particular night the two of them dressed up for dinner. On their walk over to the restaurant, they stopped in the Animal Kingdom Hotel lobby. Jason asked someone to take a photo of them. While the kind stranger was taking photos of them, Jason dropped to one knee and asked THE question! Nicole was absolutely surprised and elated! They couldn't wait to share the news with their parents.
The Wedding
Nicole and Jason will be saying 'I Do' next June on the summit of Mount Sunapee in Newbury, NH. Their guests will be able to take in the mountain views and see Lake Sunapee. They find this location to be very fitting as to who they are as a couple. One of their very first dates was spent hiking! The wide, open spaces paired with the calm, serene landscape will be the perfect backdrop for their rustic wedding.
The Engagement Session Location
When choosing the location for their engagement session, we all thought it would be so nice to have a different setting from the mountain views at their wedding. After doing a little bit of research to find a beach I've never been to before, Wingaersheek Beach caught my eye immediately. I gave Nicole and Jason a list of beaches to choose from and they were immediately drawn to this location as well. This session had to happen here! This location was a photographer's dream.
When Nicole told her mom where we were meeting she couldn't believe it. This beach is the same one that Nicole's parents used to frequent back in the day. Nicole and Jason couldn't help but feel this was meant to be :)
Raise your hand if your family photo has ever been sabotaged by your child using only their weird fake smile 🙋♀️ You know the one.
One thing I hear time and time again from fellow parents (of babies, and of grown ones too) is they wish someone could snap their photo during the moments that feel the most real. The moments where the magic of all your people in one place together brings out the most authentic versions of yourselves. There’s a certain energy that comes out of each of us when we’re some place we want to be, with people we actually want to be with, while feeling beautiful in your own way.
