Boston Engagement Session | Kim + George

A Beacon Hill and Boston Common spring engagement session ending with a sunset stroll along the Charles River.

If I had to choose a couple to walk aimlessly around a city with no destination in mind with hopes of never running out of anything to talk about, Kim and George would be at the top of my list! I’ve had the honor of knowing Kim for over 14 years (yes!) from our New Hampshire upbringing. Somehow it felt like we’ve known her fiance, George, for just as long.

We need to come up with code names for our George’s I think! Multiple times during the session we had to stop and be like “your George or my George?” No, we can’t use their initials because they’re both GGIII. Yes! Two Georges with G’s for last names and they’re both the third namesake in their family. To top it all off, our girls are named Emmy and Emma, respectively. The amount of similarities we share keeps us joyfully baffled and laughing.

Before we met up for their sunset engagement session, George and I went to grab a drink at a nearby local craft beer and tapas spot. Imagine our delight when we looked through the crowd to find Kim and George all dolled up by the bar. We spent the next 45 minutes catching up and getting to know the guy who swept her off her feet. In true George fashion, both of the George’s got along swimmingly. I truly think they forgot Kim and I were even there once they were wrapped in conversation talking about everything from how much they love Austin, Texas to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Once we finished our drinks, we happily started our session! Over the next two hours we walked all over Beacon Hill, Boston Common and along the Charles River. It was easy to lose track of time when you’re chasing the sunlight while enthralled in good conversation with good people. We are counting down the days to their July wedding (on my mom’s birthday because that only makes sense to add in one more similarity lol)! They’ll be tying the knot at the Margate in Laconia, New Hampshire located on Paugus Bay. All those water views are going to be a delightful background throughout their wedding day!
