A Secret Desert Elopement in Palm Springs, California
You’re Simply The Best
Witnessing the marriage of these two kindred souls in sunny California was literally the last thing we did before the pandemic lockdown in 2020. Talk about a way to close out the “normal” chapter of our lives!
It was the dream of all wedding day dreams. Taylor and Brandon arrived in Palm Springs in their little red car with their little dog too :) Arrive is a boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Neutral, earthy tones in their room proved to be the most delightful getting ready spot.
Back in 2009 I photographed Taylor’s senior photos. Can you even begin to imagine our teary eyes while we watched her put on her wedding day best in front of that mirror? Friendship with a soul like Taylor’s is a treasure.
This wedding had all the makings of a perfect day for these two… From walking down the “aisle” to city hall with Franklin, their L.A rescue dog, to witnessing my husband George deliver a teary eyed ceremony, to iPhone vows flooded with tears, to epic first kisses, to cheersing In-n-Out Burgers in a leather jacket while we all signed their marriage license, to going off the beaten path of the stunning desert skyline.
A wedding day void of stress and full of joy upon joy. It’s the one thing I wish for every single couple. I am so glad these two got to experience a day like no other together.
